A serial thief of bicycles and electronic skates was arrested by the Tirana police today.

The 33-year-old is suspected of stealing at least 5 bicycles and skateboards, one of which he stole from the bicycle parking lot of the Ministry of the Interior.

He was identified by the object's security cameras and was put in handcuffs today.

Police notification:

It is finalized by Police Station No. 1, the police operation coded "September", for solving 5 repeated cases of theft of skateboards and bicycles.

A 33-year-old man, previously convicted for the same criminal activity, was arrested.

Services of Police Station No. 1, following the work to combat criminal activity in the field of theft, as a result of the immediate administration of the denunciations of various citizens, for cases of theft of their bicycles and scooters, with the support of police intelligence, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "September".   

As a result of this operation, citizen B. (B) was arrested. D., 33 years old, resident in Tirana.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen, during the last months, has committed 5 thefts in different areas of Tirana, specifically:

- On 28.05.2023, it is suspected that he stole the bicycle of the MC citizen;

- On 01.06.2023, it is suspected that he stole the skateboard of citizen AC;

- On 14.07.2023, it is suspected that he stole the bicycle of citizen RB;

- On 16.08.2023, it is suspected that he stole the bicycle of citizen KH;

- On 28.08.2023, it is suspected that he stole the skateboard of the citizen EK

Work continues to clarify other thefts that may have been committed by this citizen.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
