One loss of life and 962 new cases of Covid in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health announces that in the last 24 hours, 1 person infected with Covid-19 has died, while 962 citizens have tested positive out of 2245 tests performed.

Report of the Ministry of Health:

Due to the increase in the number of citizens affected by Covid19, the Ministry of Health again calls on citizens not to neglect the anticovid vaccination, especially in this period of increased contacts, due to movements during the summer season.

Anyone over the age of 12 can be vaccinated at health centers across the country. Also, the Ministry of Health appeals to all vaccinated citizens to go to the health centers to be vaccinated with the booster dose.

Anti-COVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and largely avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.

If you have signs of illness or have had contact with a person affected by Covid19, isolate yourself immediately and contact your family doctor to be tested as soon as possible or call the National Emergency at the unique number 127.

We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 2245 tests have been carried out, of which 962 citizens have tested positive for COVID19, in these municipalities:

404 in Tirana, 62 in Durres, 46 in Vlora, 43 in Berat, 35 in Saranda, 33 in Lezhë, 32 in Shkodër, 28 in Lushnje, 23 in Kamëz, from 22 citizens in Elbasan, Patos, 21 in Fier, 19 in Kavajë, 18 in Gjirokastër, from 13 citizens in Divjakë, Krujë, Korçë, 10 in Himarë, 7 in Vorë, from 6 citizens in Vau i Dejës, Dimal, Kuçovo, Belsh, Gramsh, from 5 citizens in Kurbin, Roskovec, Mallakastër, Librazhd, from 4 citizens in Malësi e Madhe, Puke, Mirdita, Dibër, Delvinë, Këlcyrë, Tepelën, from 3 citizens in Kukës, Kolonje, from 2 citizens in Rrogozhinë, Maliq, Pogradec, Devoll, Skrapar, from 1 citizen in Fushë Arrëz , Mat, Selenice, Permet.

There are 6,189 active citizens with Covid19 throughout the country.

Currently, 33 patients are receiving treatment at the COVID3 hospital. In the last 24 hours, there has been a loss of life with Sars-Cov2: an 84-year-old citizen from Tirana.

416 citizens have recovered during the last 24 hours, bringing the number of recoveries to 277,992 since the beginning of the epidemic.
