Today, a court hearing was held at the Court of Appeal regarding the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja, where security measures for Gjon Shkambi and Banush Koxhaj, security employees at the court premises, were reviewed.

The court ordered prison sentences for both defendants.

Meanwhile, the judge's murderer, Elvis Shkambi, has not appealed the prison sentence he was previously sentenced to.

According to the prosecution, Gjon Shkambi is accused of having knowledge of his nephew's plan, but he has denied these allegations.

On the other hand, Banush Koxhaj is suspected of abuse of power, as he failed to react to the metal detector signal, which had warned of the presence of the weapon with which the perpetrator entered the building to commit the murder.
