"Directors of public health institutions are prohibited from owning and running private clinics, when they are simultaneously in charge of public hospital structures."

This is what the Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, said after the government meeting.

"Today we approved a change in the law on the Order of Doctors. The main purpose of the changes is to guarantee the quality of service for all patients who turn to public structures", said Koçiu.

"We want to avoid as much as possible the conflict of interest of persons working in the public system. The changes consist of making information transparent for all professionals who work in public structures regarding their private commitments", emphasized the Minister of Health.
