Three months after the serious incident in Italy, the young Albanian Alvardo Agaraj, accused of murdering the 45-year-old Moroccan Abderrahimi Elkharmoudi, has confessed what happened in the evening between October 23 and 24. The 22-year-old Albanian killed the Moroccan citizen outside the Agorà bar in Piazza Libertà in Cornaredo.
Interrogated by the prosecutor of the case, the young man stated that he was afraid that the 45-year-old would kill his girlfriend, with whom he argued inside the bar, and that he himself was the target of an attack by the victim, who according to him, he had tried to stab him.
Before returning to the bar for the second time, Alvardo Agaraj, who is in San Vittore prison in Milan, took the pistol home for fear that the Moroccan national would attack his girlfriend.
"As soon as he saw me approaching, he left the bar and tried to stab me. I shot him twice with a pistol, in the chest and stomach," he said, then said: "This is how you will learn how to respect women."
The 22-year-old stated that "I thought that I had not killed him. I then left on the same night of the murder by car in Belgium together with my girlfriend".
Two days later he returned to the police and surrendered. Agaraj was previously arrested for a suspected case of gang rape.
The victim, who lived in San Pietro all'Olmo, was known to the police and frequented the bar where the crime took place.
In the evening of the drive, after being injured by the young Albanian, he managed to get up and crawl towards his car which was parked nearby.
He walked a few hundred meters and passed out. It was the residents who called the police after hearing the gunshots.
After arriving at the scene, the carabinieri did not notice anyone injured in Piazza Liberta, but not far from there they noticed a car stopped in the middle of the street.
The Moroccan was unconscious with his head resting on the steering wheel. Despite the efforts of doctors to keep him alive, he died in the hospital of San Carlo.
