Verona police have dismantled a gang of thieves consisting of four Albanian citizens, aged 25-28, specializing in quick burglaries in apartments.
The last theft documented by authorities occurred on December 19, when two apartments in the city were robbed. A safe containing jewelry and cash was stolen from the homes.
The suspects were arrested by the Verona Police Flying Squad as they were returning to their base, with the stolen loot still in the vehicle. The arrest came after several weeks of pursuit and surveillance, which led to the identification of the vehicle used by the perpetrators.
According to police, the thieves acted with precision and speed, staying no more than 15 minutes in each apartment. They always used the same method of operation and professional tools to force open doors and safes.
During a search of their apartment outside the city, police seized other valuables and cash. Investigations are ongoing to identify the owners and return the stolen items to their rightful owners.
