Gjirokastra Prosecution Confiscates 3 Million Euros of Drini Aliko's Assets

The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office has confiscated 3 million euros of assets owned by Drini Aliko, assets which, based on investigations, have resulted to have been obtained through illegal sources.

7 plots of land, 1 field and 1 apartment, 1 fuel station, 1 building, 1 shop, 3 warehouses, 1 quarry and 1 concrete joint, are the assets confiscated on behalf of the state.

Announcement from the Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office:

Not justified by legal sources, 3 million euros of assets of citizen DA are confiscated at the request of the Gjirokastër Prosecutor's Office; fuel, businesses, land, apartments and warehouses

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Gjirokastra, three million euros of assets belonging to citizen DA were confiscated, as investigations revealed that he had no legal sources for the creation of assets.

The request for confiscation came within the framework of property investigation no. 2 of 2019 and the following assets were confiscated:

- Property of the type “Plot” with a surface area of ​​350m2, located in the city of Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type "Plot" with a surface area of ​​1500m2 and a construction area of ​​23 m2 located in Lazarat, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of ​​450 m2, located in Grehot, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Plot” with a surface area of ​​1646 m2 located in Grehot, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the “Are” type with a surface area of ​​7000 m2 located in the village of Arshi Lengo, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Apartment” with a construction area of ​​120 m2, and property of the type “Square area” of 600 m2 located in Lazarat;

- Property of the type “Fuel” with a surface area of ​​148 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Two-storey office building” with a surface area of ​​69 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the “Local” type with a surface area of ​​94 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Warehouse” with a surface area of ​​437 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Warehouse” with a surface area of ​​98 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Warehouse” with a surface area of ​​542 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the “Vendroje” type with a surface area of ​​5 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type "Concrete Node" with a surface area of ​​55 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Asset of the type “Solid materials collection point” with a surface area of ​​424 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

- Property of the type “Plot” with a surface area of ​​2224 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër; and

- Property of the type “Plot” with a surface area of ​​1608 m2 located in Kordhocë, Gjirokastër;

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra expresses its full commitment to the priority investigation of property proceedings as well as the sequestration/confiscation of assets in implementation of Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the Prevention and Suppression of Organized Crime, Trafficking and Corruption through Preventive Measures Against Assets".

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra expresses its full commitment to continuing the investigations of group offenses related to illicit enrichment by taking measures for their seizure and confiscation.
