The founder of "Emaar Properties" Mohamed Al Alabbar stated today that the works for the construction of the tourist port in Durrës can start in 2 or 3 months at most.

"The construction can start in two months or three at the most" , said Mohamed Alabbar in an interview for Euronews Albania.

He said that during the work they are constantly improving details and therefore the initial cost of the project which was predicted at 2 billion dollars or euros may increase.

According to Alabbar, the tourist port of Durrës will offer entertainment opportunities and will have space for every customer request.

He also added that the prices will be suitable for the economic level of Albania.

"We are in Albania, so the prices will be adapted to Albania. There will be a difference between those residences or spaces that look at the sea or the marina and it also depends on the quality.

There will be a variation in prices, but still staying at the level of Albania. The service we will offer will bring satisfaction to Albanians. We will try to stay within the level of Albania for the price work. We have studied the market for several years, according to him.

Alabbar emphasized that only a part of the residences will be sold, while the shops will be owned by the company, to maintain the quality of services.

Yesterday, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed for the construction of the tourist port of Durrës.

The investment of 2 billion dollars is a collaboration between "Eagle Hills Real Estate Development" shpk, represented by the world-famous investor and developer Muhammed El Alabbar and "Albanian Seaports Development Company".
