The investigation into the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, who was arrested today by order of SPAK, has started after the criminal report that you see in the documents below. 

It is about a report by 15 residents of building no. 8 in district 5 of Durrës, which was damaged by the earthquake of November 26, 2019.

In the report, several former officials of the Durrës Municipality and structures of private entities have been denounced who, through corruption, have allowed a building, which was given permission for only 10 floors, to build 14 floors and to add garages. 

It includes 10 charges, among them abuse of office, construction without permission, active and passive corruption, torture, structured criminal group. Among others, Vangjush Dako and the other officials were accused of murder in qualifying circumstances, remaining in the attempt.

Among the persons mentioned in the document signed by more than 15 residents is the name of the current mayor of the Municipality, Emiriana Sako.

The permission for the construction of the building was given in September 2011. While Dako has given permission for the construction of 4 additional floors of the building.
