An accident on the Elbasan-Peqin road, near the village of Pajove, reportedly left two people injured.

Police and firefighters are at the scene while experts are working to verify the causes.

It was previously reported that the accident occurred due to a wrong overtaking while both vehicles were traveling at a speed exceeding the speed limit.

The accident occurred just 200 meters from the spot where two other vehicles collided the day before, leaving their two drivers injured.

Such road incidents in this segment are recorded every day, while residents have often requested increased safety parameters in this segment that is claiming lives.

There are not a few cases where pedestrians are involved in accidents, as the area is inhabited along the national highway.
