Police have busted an Albanian smuggling ring which extorted £10,000 from migrants to travel to the UK on private jets and trucks before providing them with false travel documents through a shell company posing as 'Amazon' ".

Albanians Myrteza Hilaj, 50, and Kreshnik Kadena, 37, of Leyton in East London, organized at least nine illegal migrant trips in 2016 and 2017, three of which were by plane to an airfield in Essex.

The pictures show their Cessna plane being stopped by French police at a private airport near Calais before the pair set up a date in an English bar, unaware they were under surveillance by authorities the whole time.

Hilaj and Kadena were sentenced yesterday after an eight-year investigation by the National Crime Agency (NCA), which also brought to justice four people involved in the forgery of documents, including an Albanian citizen and a Ukrainian.
