National and International Marathon in Pogradec, here are the roads that will be

The city of Pogradec will welcome one of the most important sporting events of the summer, the National and International Marathon, on July 26, 2025. The event is organized by the “Maraton Albania” association in cooperation with the Municipality of Pogradec and will start at 19:00.

This activity includes two competition disciplines. The 21-kilometer half-marathon starts from the village of Lin and runs along the road axis by the lake to the city center. The 10-kilometer mini-marathon starts from the center of Pogradec and takes place along the Pogradec - Buçimas - Tushemisht segment, to finish again at the starting point, along the promenade and the city ring road.

To ensure public order and safety during this event, the State Police has taken additional measures. Numerous police structures will be present to ensure the smooth running of the marathon and to manage road traffic. There will be temporary interruptions to vehicle movement on several main axes.

On the Lin–Pogradec segment, the left side of the road will be blocked, while on the Tushemisht–Pogradec axis both lanes will be blocked. Also, some internal road segments within the city of Pogradec will be blocked until the end of the activity.

The traffic blockage will last from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Korça Police has asked for citizens' understanding for these temporary measures and thanks them for their cooperation in order to ensure a safe and dignified sporting activity.
