The teachers' union announced today the next protest, since their demands for salary increase and improvement of the quality of higher education have not been met by the government.

As they emphasize that they will not negotiate a single penny from the salary increase that the lecturers asked for, they call on the students to join their initiative for a better education.

Such is the appeal of the lecturer of the Agricultural University, Lush Susaj. He said that students should take their fate into their own hands, be active in protests and not leave the country in rafts, risking their lives, as many Albanians have done recently.

" Come students, come Albanian youth, take the fate of your country in your hands and don't run away ," said the lecturer.

Teachers' requests

- Salary increase for lecturers and support staff

- Increasing funding for scientific research

-Restoration of salary allowances for 'Occupational health requirements'

-Increasing the salary allowance for seniority

-Increasing the payment of additional workload hours

-Revaluation of the teaching hour as there is a discount of 50% of the payment of the teaching hour as a result of the non-differentiation of the teaching hour of the lecture.

-Revision of the tax of 23% on the payment of the additional load

- To suspend until 2026 the implementation of point c) of paragraph 3, of Chapter III of VKM No. 112, dated 23.2.2018, for the criteria for receiving the title "Professor".

- Make transparency on the budget and income of public universities
