The 82-year-old woman from the village of Nartë in Vlora is facing justice, accused of building a chicken coop without permission. A day ago, the elderly woman appeared at the next court session, as if she had built a 10-story building in the center of Vlora, not a chicken coop. The court has requested that on October 25 it give conclusions on the sentence of the elderly Lefkotheia Karasa.
Lefkotheia Karasa lives alone in a two-story house in Narta, Vlora, while the boys are in emigration. The case of escorting the 82-year-old woman to the police station for illegal construction became public about a month ago, while she told Report Tv with tears in her eyes that she had found trouble in her property.
Two years ago, she said, they demolished the cattle shed and started building a slightly larger shed with walls. This is where the conflict arose with the neighbor who reported it to the police.
" The problem is that I got into trouble in my property, in my land that my father-in-law left me. The house was built by the boys who worked in Greece. It has been two years in the making and it has cost a lot.
We had a hut there and we want to make it big. A coop for chickens or something else, what should we do, we need that...(building). Nothing like I broke her (neighbor's) she broke my fence. The police came and took me by force. Did they tell you to screw it up? NO! We have it in our land. (cries)", said Lefkotheia Karasa.
