An Albanian translator living in Glasgow, Scotland, says that Albanians are not as important in drug trafficking and other criminal activities as the media portrays them.

In a link to the "Opinion" show, he said that Albanians mostly "make a name for themselves" as they like to boast by advertising luxury and drugs, especially on social networks.

However, he added that the figures show that Albanians are negligible before immigrants from Africa and the Middle East. He said that according to a study, about 25 kilograms of cocaine are consumed in London per day, a very high figure which the Albanians do not have the capacity to supply.

"Albanians who came early already enjoy their honest businesses. Even those who come, most of them have Greek or Italian documents. As soon as they receive the documents, they come here to work in honest jobs," he said.
