Those who park incorrectly in Tirana will suffer, the specialists: Fine up to 7 thousand lek, removal of the vehicle with a cart!

The Traffic Police has undertaken a series of measures to ease traffic in the capital with the aim of reducing traffic in Tirana.

In Report TV, the traffic commander in Tirana, Gerhard Baka, underlines that the traffic load in Tirana is caused by wrong parking.

Therefore, the traffic police has undertaken this initiative, that in addition to the administrative measure, wrongly parked vehicles will be removed with a wheelbarrow.

"One of the main causes of traffic congestion is wrong parking. Based on this, it has been concluded that in addition to the administrative measures that we have applied so far, additional measures will be sanctioned, with the relocation of lifting equipment. They are a source of traffic and road accidents," said Baka.

The road expert, Fadil Likaj, also sees it positively, who said that this new initiative is good not only for traffic management but also for road safety, as they are also the cause of accidents.

"I see this initiative from two perspectives, first with traffic management and road safety. The parameters of the roads in Tirana are small compared to the vehicles," said Likaj.

Baka also explained what the value of the fine will be that the driver who parks incorrectly will have to pay.

Baka says that the value of the administrative measure, together with the additional sanction, i.e. driving with a cart, can cost a driver about 7 thousand new lek.

As for parking spaces, Baka says that these measures will be put into practice more in the streets and areas where there are parking lots.

"The administrative measure for wrong parking is 3,000 new lek when you are in the second row, and to this is added the value of posting with a lift, somewhere around 4,000 lek. For a posting in a lifting vehicle, in case it is ascertained in the second row, the value of the administrative measure will be 7 thousand ALL. I appeal to them to choose different alternative means in the capital, in case they find it impossible to find parking places, in the places where we often take these measures, there are areas where in fact there is no parking..." - said Baka.

“Kodi Rrugor dhe aktet e tjera të dala në zbatim të tij kanë qenë kohë më përpara dhe s’është se janë bërë dje. Parkimi i mjeteve në mënyrë të gabuar sjell pështjellim të trafikut. Në këto kushte, policia rrugore e Tiranës është e detyruar të plotësojë këtë plan masash. Qytetarëve të Tiranës nga ana tjetër, do duhet të ketë më shumë parkingje publike me pagesë...”- tha ai.
