New details have come to light regarding the gunshot wound that occurred last evening in Tirana, where 34-year-old Juxhin Hamajezi, a name known to the police, was injured.

Sources indicate that Hamajezi was in his bar, in the company of several other people, where the conflict that ended with his injury is suspected to have occurred.

The 34-year-old was shot in the leg and is out of danger.

According to investigative sources, Hamajezi was not very cooperative during his preliminary statements to the police, not providing many details about the circumstances of the incident and the people involved.

Meanwhile, the investigative group has seized the security cameras of the area and the bar, in order to identify the perpetrator and other people who were present at the time of the injury.

Juxhin Hamajezi is a person with a previous criminal record. In 2018, he escaped a gun attack in the Kinostudio area of ​​Tirana.

He was injured along with his brother Rivelino Hamajezi. This incident was investigated on two tracks, that of disrupting drug deals and a previous injury that the latter may have committed. The incident occurred on June 27, 2018, where the suspected perpetrator was former police officer Santiago Malko (executed).

Also, according to data, he has been arrested earlier for smuggling people.

In 2021, he was arrested by Tirana police on charges of "providing assistance for illegal border crossing," after he was caught trafficking Syrian citizens.
