The site of the assassination

The authors are suspected of having very accurate information about the movement of the victims Shpati Lena and Hakim Xhezo, of today's assassination at the Panaja crossing in Vlora.

It is learned that Shpati Lena was extremely guarded, always moved in an armored vehicle and did not appear in public. He lived in the "24 Maji" neighborhood, or as it is otherwise known as the "Çole" neighborhood.

Just a short time ago, he also lost his mother and went to her funeral with difficulty, as he was afraid of a possible assassination attempt on him.

His journey today with a "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, type "B Class" with license plate "AB 036ET", i.e. a non-armored vehicle, is suspicious for a person who was on the lookout for assassinations. It is not known whether someone betrayed him for driving that vehicle, or whether the perpetrators have been keeping him under surveillance for days.

He was arrested in March, for the murder of businessman Arben Beqiraj, and stayed in the cell alone for three days, after the court ordered him to appear.

It is not known if Shpati Lena was saved from the assassination only by this event recorded in 2019, or if he was also involved in other "dirty" jobs.
