The dynamics of the assassination recorded this morning at the Panaja crossing in Vlora have been revealed. 

37-year-old Shpati Lena and 34-year-old Hakim Xhezo had left Vlora in the direction of Fier, but the road cut you in the middle. Unlike the other times, they did not use a used vehicle, but rode in a simple "Mercedes Benz" type "B Class" car with license plate "AB 036ET".

The perpetrators are suspected to have been keeping the two victims under observation for several days and as soon as they noticed this detail, they implemented the assassination plan.

The moment Lena and Xhezo boarded the Panaja overpass, the assassins, who until now are suspected to have been a team of paid assassins of three people, started shooting at them with Kalashnikovs.

From their "BMW" type vehicle without license plates, the perpetrators allegedly shot in bursts for 200 meters, emptying at least 60 Kalashnikov bullets. First they shot them from behind, then they went parallel and finally they hit the front window of the car which apparently was fatal for the lives of the two young men.

As a result of the barrage of bullets, Xezo and Lena lost control of the vehicle and ended up in the canal. The perpetrators' vehicle turns out to have been stolen in Durrës and was found burned in the village of Červen in Fier, and three Kalashnikovs were also found inside it.

Two are the tracks where the investigative team has focused on investigating the double murder. The first is the cause of enmity for the murder of businessman Arben Beqiraj, an event that happened in 2019, where Shpati Lena was an accomplice and the brother of "Bush", Eduart Xhezo, was the author.

The second track is that of drug deals.

Hakim and Eduart Xhezo, arrested for the murder of Arben Beqiraj, were the subjects of Operation Forca e Lligjit. OFL in July 2020 started the written requests for the self-declaration of the sources of wealth, to the two brothers Eduart and Hakim Xhezo. According to OFL, for Eduart Xhezo, the Vlora Judicial District Court has imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the murder of businessman Arben Beqiraj in Vlora. Meanwhile, Hakim Xhezo was convicted by the Vlora Judicial District Court for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics". For this reason, this line of investigation is not excluded.
