Eni Çobani advertising a supplement

Advertising spots on television already have other purposes, to advertise supplements and medicines. The minutes that could be dedicated to different stores of products that do not need medical prescriptions are already occupied by various public figures who suggest medications. Do you need to lose weight? Cure arthritis, osteoporosis? Improve your performance in bed? Lawyer Eni Çobani, well-known humorist Sejfullah Miftari, or moderator Ardit Gjebrea come to your aid.

With the Superwoman supplement in hand, Shepherd suggests women to use it as an immediate solution to achieve the desired calmness and comfort in those difficult days.

"Superwoman for a strong Supergrua who is never defeated!" - says Eni Çobani.

And as soon as the lawyer leaves the screen, for the next 15 minutes 'Cekja' comes out.

"Yp jiji", he says when he advertises Prostatol proudly shows that his performance in bed is equal to that of a 25-year-old.

Then comes Ardit Gjebrea who suggests pills that cure any pain. Based on these suspicious spots, Dosja.al decided to conduct an investigation in the service of citizens. Beyond the fact that millions of euros are spent on these products and citizens are used as laboratory cavities for uncertified effects, the institutions pass the 'relay' to each other and no one knows where these suggestions are based.

Specifically, information was requested from the National Agency for Drugs and Medical Devices, the Department for Consumer Protection, the Audiovisual Media Authority and the National Food Authority. The only one who deserved to answer was AKU who explains that the products that meet the legal requirements, operated by the National Food Authority, are allowed to be imported in the Republic of Albania. Such products, according to AKU, are categorized as food supplements and not medications.

"Referring to the products for which you ask for information, for clarification, they are categorized as food supplements and not medicines," the message reads, among other things.

So if something you consume cures, is it not medicine?

Kjo bazohet tek Ligji 9902 "Per Mbrojtjen e Konsumatori", date 17.04.2008, i ndryshuar, ku ne Nenin 56/1 specifikohen qartazi edhe detyrat e qeverisjes vendore lidhur me mbrojtjen e konsumatorit, te cilat kane te bejne vetem me informimin, njoftimin dhe ndërgjegjësimin e konsumatorëve. Sa me siper cituar, informacioni qe ju kerkoni eshte jashte kompetencave tona ligjore.

Who is responsible for the damage that these uncertified products can cause to citizens? Why is this risky marketing allowed to be made public? What does AMA do to protect citizens? What does AKU do? What does the national drug agency do? If you swear on Television you are punished and if it offers health poison you are allowed.

If you put uncontrolled tomatoes you are punished, if you put poison you are advertised. If you introduce uncertified medicines, your license will be revoked, if you call supplements the same medicines, you make money. In conditions when no institution opposes the citizens, they should at least be rejected by themselves, in order to protect their health from swindlers.
