Klajdi Meçi , director of Territory Control in Tirana, received a death threat this Wednesday, October 15.

The incident occurred near the Inspectorate offices, where the director was threatened by a person who has not yet been publicly identified.

It is reported that today a person went to the IMT offices and claimed that he was armed and that he was going to kill the director.

" I'm armed, where is the director, I'm going to kill him ," is what the person who went to the director's office reportedly said, while the latter is believed to know who he is, while there is still no information publicly.

But at that time, according to the report made by the director of the Territory Control, he was not in the institution as he was in the field. After being informed of the situation by the staff, Klajdi Meçi went to the police station number 3 in Tirana and filed a report.

In the statement given to police officers, Meçi explained that the person in question was complaining about an object that, according to him, should be demolished.

But the director emphasized that the facility in question has a lawsuit insurance policy approved by the Court, which prohibits intervention by the IMT.

Under current legislation, the institution cannot act contrary to court decisions, despite the claims of the individuals involved.
