The beating of the nurses against the elderly woman in an asylum in the city of Peja has shocked public opinion. The publication of the gruesome footage has brought many reactions condemning the act. The daughter of the elderly woman, Zhaneta Nura, says that she noticed signs on her mother a few days ago. In a statement for TV Dukagjini, she stated that after seeing the video of her mother, she immediately demanded that she be taken out of the asylum.

"I visited my mother at least once or twice a week. I was at the residence 4-5 days ago. In the last time, I saw a sign of violence on the page, but it did not occur to me that there is violence in a residence by Swiss standards.

I was at work when this shot came to me. I automatically pulled my mom out of there. Now I hope that justice will shed light on this matter. It happened to my mother, but don't let it happen to others," she said.

The girl stated that her family paid 600 euros per month for her mother's accommodation in this center, also covering the costs of clothing and medical therapy.

"It was a big shock. Unprecedented stress. When a violence is committed against a sick mother in that residence, which I don't know whether to call a residence anymore. I believe that each of the citizens understands me. I have no words to describe the pain that happened. We paid 600 euros per month. The clothing was from us. Therapy from us" - says the girl.
