As part of the Temple operation, the Lezha Police has developed an anti-drug operation.

The police arrested Mirash Pima, Kristian Pima and Florian Pima, brothers, and seized a large amount of drugs.

It is about 280 destroyed cannabis plants and a quantity of 158 kilograms of cannabis ready for sale.

Eduart Çoku, 41 years old, and Fatmir Ukaj (Tirtja), 24 years old, residents of Bulsharë, Mirdita, were also put in handcuffs.

Lezha Police Statement:

At the same time, in Laç, within the framework of the "Tempulli" mega-operation, 2 cases of adaptation of premises, for the use and sale of drugs, were hit.

The specialized structures of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate, after a several-week investigation, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, also supported by the services of the Special Force "Shqiponja" and the Police Station The Mirdites have successfully completed the coded police operation "Priority".

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in the act:

- Mirash Pima, 29 years old, Kristian Pima, 29 years old and Florian Pima, 33 years old, brothers, all three residents of Kačinar village, Mirditë;

- Eduart Çoku, 41 years old and Fatmir Ukaj (Tirtja), 24 years old, residents of Bulsharë, Mirdita.

Also, the work continues for the capture of citizens Nikolin Ndoca, 31 years old, resident of the village of Bulsharë, Mirdita, and Kristian Mena, 21 years old, resident of Fan, Mirdita.

Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings have started in free status for citizens Ndue Pima, 58 years old, resident of Kačinar, Mirdita, and Elion Tirtja, 36 years old, resident of Bulsharë, Mirdita.

Based on the evidence obtained during the several-week investigation, control was exercised in the homes of these citizens, in the villages of Bulsharë and Kačinar, in the district of Mirdita, where 158 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa were found and seized as material evidence, a part ready for sale and a part in the process of drying.

Also, 280 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants that were cultivated in the village of Bulsharë, Mirditë, were destroyed.   

Following the investigative actions, 14,000 euros suspected to have been obtained from this criminal activity, as well as 15 mobile phones, were seized.    

From the in-depth investigations for the full legal documentation of the involvement of these citizens in this criminal activity, it is suspected that they are also the authors of the cultivation of narcotic plants, in the village of Planet, Mirdita, a case identified and dealt with by the Police structures, on October 12, 2023.   

Today's operation to attack the cultivation and production of cannabis is not the only operation, because the Police of Lezha, since the beginning of the year until now, has been intensively engaged in the fight against cannabis. It is worth mentioning the police mega-operation coded "Imazhi", developed in implementation of the nationwide operational plan drawn up by the General Directorate of the State Police, with the aim of preventing the cultivation of narcotic plants and the destruction of narcotic plants from the initial stages of cultivation. During the 39 stages of this mega-operation, a total of 60,113 narcotic plants and 8,608 seedlings cultivated in cubes were destroyed.     

Also, the "Tempulli" mega-operation continues, within which, in Laç, 2 cases of adaptation of premises for the use and sale of drugs were identified and attacked, as well as cocaine and cannabis were seized.     

In the city of Laçi, the citizen Alfons Marku, 34 years old, had added his bar for the use and sale of narcotics. During the search, the Police found and seized a quantity of doses of cannabis. 

While yesterday, in Gjorma, citizen Fatjon Gjoka, 29 years old, was arrested, who had adapted the bar for the use and sale of narcotics. During the search, the Police found and seized a quantity of doses of the narcotic substance cocaine.     

From the beginning of the mega-operation "Tempulli" until today, 12 cases have been hit and 12 citizens who tried to sell drugs, near schools and in bars, have been arrested.   

The Local Directorate of the Lezhë Police and the commissariats subordinate to it, with the new management, management and enforcement staff, have intensified their work to clarify the criminal events that happened before, prevent, identify and attack any illegality, respect and protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, the protection of property, as well as the dynamic follow-up, with priority, of citizens' concerns and addresses.   

At the same time, police structures, in cooperation with school security officers, teaching staff, psychologists and social workers, are maximally committed to rigorously implement the security measures defined in the new Package for School Security.
