Two young men were arrested by the Police at Tushemisht customs, after 139 pieces of Ohrid trout with a total weight of 90 kg were found in the car they were traveling in.

Citizens E. Sh., 22 years old, and MA, 25 years old, who are accused of illegal trading of fish, were put in handcuffs.

"Today (30.10.2022), after the measures and activities undertaken in advance, police officials of the Section for Cross-Border Crime Ohrid and the Police Station for Border Crossing and Border Surveillance Stenj have arrested E. Sh. (22 years old) and MA (25 years old) ) from the Republic of Albania.

During the inspection, 139 pieces of Ohrid trout with a total weight of about 90 kg were found in the "Nissan" vehicle with Albanian national plates, which were the object of illegal trade from the Republic of Albania to the Republic of North Macedonia.

E.Sh. and MA have been detained at the police station in Stenje and after the full documentation of the case will be filed against them," the Police announced.
