Threatened citizens with service weapon, AMP sends patrol officer for investigation

The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region) has referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana the procedural materials in charge of police officer EH, with general patrol duty at Police Station No. 5, suspected of the criminal offenses of "Threat" and "Abuse of office".

According to preliminary investigations, yesterday evening, a police officer had a physical conflict with several people in a bar in Tirana for weak motives. During the argument, the situation escalated and the officer threatened the other people with his service weapon.

AMP has also initiated an administrative disciplinary investigation against the employee, while actions continue to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
