
This Saturday, a 21-year-old man passed away, who was seriously injured in a collision between two vehicles, in an accident that occurred on September 6, on the Orikum-Himarë road, in the village of Dukat Fushë.
According to reports, the young man had spent a month and a half of treatment at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. However, after leaving the hospital, he had developed infections in his wounds, which led to a rapid deterioration in his health. Despite urgent medical intervention and his transport back to the hospital, the young man could not survive.
The police have announced that: "The incident that took the young man's life occurred at midnight on September 6, around 01:30, on the Orikum-Himarë road, in the village of Dukat-Fushë. An "Audi" type vehicle collided with another "Fiat", causing four injuries, including the 21-year-old who lost his life.
The driver of the "Audi", Fadil Bodo, 22 years old, is under investigation, who is suspected of causing the collision due to high speed. Passengers Flavio Qepi, 20 years old, and DK, 21 years old, the latter in serious condition, as well as the driver of the "Fiat", Gabriel Lazemetaj, 20 years old, were also injured in the accident.
"According to preliminary data, the collision occurred as a result of high speed and loss of control by one of the vehicles. The Police and the Vlora Prosecutor's Office are continuing investigations to clarify the full circumstances of the event that took on a new life," the Police statement said.
