The village of Pinar is no more than 15 km on the outskirts of the capital. It is one of the villages abandoned by young people. The streets are almost empty, in the courtyards of the houses you can find some old people.

Caje Metani is a resident of this village. She is sick and walks on crutches, she says that she receives only 100,000 Lek pension, but she does not even have enough money to buy medicine.

"My pension is 100,000 Lek, I spend it on medicine, I was on crutches for 10 years, I spent 5 months in a wheelchair, after 5 months I got up on crutches. There are very few, they don't come to me for medicine. It's hard for me to visit, because I'm on crutches, I want the car here at the door, I don't have a car. We 2 old people live here, the house is made of cuni".

All of Caje's pension goes to medicine. Together with the retired spouse, they receive 200 thousand old ALL. They survive thanks to the help of children.

"The children helped me because I was in a wheelchair and they lifted me up with crutches, the children helped me where to take you. I can't afford my pension, I call for them to increase my pension a little so that I can afford it, at least for medicine and life as a human being. I have no help at this foot of the mountain.
