Family members of judge Astrit Kalaja, who was killed in the line of duty on Monday, have reacted with sadness over the loss of their loved one.

The relative of the late judge Kalaja, Lira Parruca, has reacted to the serious incident that occurred yesterday afternoon inside the courtroom at the Tirana Court of Appeal.

Parruca writes that Judge Kalaja was unfairly separated from her relatives.

She described her relative as a sensitive person who was always ready to help. Parruca further praised her cousin, stressing that he was a professional in his work and Shkodra will miss his justice. She expressed her condolences to Kala's wife and 3 children.

“With a broken heart I write these words that I would never want to write… Today we were separated in the most unjust way from my beloved cousin, Titi, a man who was a light to his family, to his friends, to his colleagues, and to our city.

Titus was much more than an honest judge and an exceptional professional. He embodied kindness, nobility and rare honesty. He was loving, calm, with an intelligence that was immediately noticeable, with a subtle humor and a deep sensitivity for people. Always ready to help, always close to others - because that was his heart: big, open, pure.

Sociable, close, strongly connected to family, to people, to life. A worthy citizen of Shkodra who gave name, value and honor to his profession, representing it with humility, dignity and true passion. Shkodra will feel the absence of his justice, his calm smile, the understanding and kindness that he distributed quietly, but with much love.

Dear Tit, I will miss talking to you… your presence, your good energy, the calmness that your voice conveyed, and the way you managed to make everything seem simpler and easier. You will live forever in my heart as the most beautiful example of a man who shone not only in his profession, but above all in his soul. Your loss is heavy, incredible… but your memory will remain unforgettable for me and for anyone who was lucky enough to know you.
