Arthur Tushi

An investigation by the Colombian newspaper  EL Tiempo  has revealed new details from the mafia execution of Albanian Artur Tushi , who was executed with 11 bullets in Colombia.

Tushi was executed by a hired killer of Venezuelan origin near his apartment, near the Santa Fe Shopping Center, which is also one of the most frequented areas of the city.

The hitman who carried out the murder is a 35-year-old Venezuelan who had previous criminal records for personal injury and drug possession.

The 35-year-old Venezuelan shot the 44-year-old Albanian 11 times, leaving him dead instantly.

He then fled on a motorcycle, but was caught by Colombian authorities a few hours later. During his capture, authorities seized the vehicle and the weapon used to commit the crime.

The Colombian newspaper EL TIEMPO writes in its investigation that Tushi, known in Albania by the nickname "Qoti", is originally from the village of Raboshtë in Lezha.

In 2017, Tushi was kidnapped, where 200,000 lek was stolen. The newspaper writes that Tushi had no criminal record in Albania, but his execution comes after involvement in illegal activities in other countries.

EL TIEMPO reported that after initial investigations conducted by authorities through Interpol, several criminal records in Tushi's name were discovered in various countries.

Among Tushi's criminal records are offenses such as physical violence and drug possession.

According to Colombian media, the payment made to the 35-year-old Venezuelan to carry out Tushi's murder was made in dollars, which strengthens the theory that the crime is linked to international criminal clashes in the city.

The Santa Fe shopping center, located in El Poblado, municipality 14 of Medellin, is one of the busiest areas of the city, especially on weekends. Thousands of people go there to spend time with their families and enjoy their days off.

However, the calm that characterizes this place was suddenly interrupted on Sunday afternoon, October 5, when a paid assassination attempt took place just a few meters from the pedestrian entrance of the shopping center. Just a few meters from the pedestrian and vehicle entrance of Santa Fe, a 44-year-old man was walking, who had just left the shopping center. As he was crossing the road that connects to the El Poblado promenade, a man on a Bajaj Dominar 400 motorcycle approached him and shot him with several bullets, killing him instantly.

On the other hand, the main lead that the authorities are following is the one related to the hired killer. Sources close to the investigation have revealed to EL TIEMPO that the payment made to the 35-year-old Venezuelan, to carry out the murder of Tushi, was made in dollars, which strengthens the theory that the crime is related to international criminal clashes in the city. The incident remains under investigation, while the Colombian authorities, in cooperation with Interpol and law enforcement agencies of several countries, are trying to clarify all the details about this murder that has shocked public opinion and has brought back attention to international drug trafficking networks in Latin America./ ELTiempo
