Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj appeared this Friday at the secretariat of the Court of Appeals where he submitted the appeal against the security measure "Arrest in prison" for former President Ilir Meta.

" I appeared at the secretariat of the Court of Appeal where I submitted the appeal against the decision that imposed the security measure of "prison arrest" for Mr. Meta. We have presented all the arguments since the criminal detention that was made, and for each episode of the proceedings, such as for lobbying in the US, for which Mr. Meta has also given explanations before SPAK.

The lobbying proceedings have been clarified. We have clarified the declaration of Mr. Meta's assets and then also for CEZ-DIA, which was based on false accusers, false witnesses and evidence that contradicts the law.

"Having neither reasonable doubt nor evidence for Mr. Meta, we have turned to the High Court to revoke the measure of arrest in prison, imposed by the Court of First Instance for Crime and Corruption and subsequently approved by the Court of Appeals ," said Gjokutaj.
