On Saturday afternoon, footage was released of a woman trying to kidnap a 2-year-old child in a supermarket in Tirana.
Journalist Besar Bajraktaraj said on Tuesday during the "Opinion" show that only during today's day has the identification of the woman been made possible. It is a woman in her 50s who is suspected to have mental health problems.
"The woman's identification was made today. Police do not disclose her name as she has not been escorted. There is a woman who is around 50, suspected of problems because from the very communications she has maintained with the staff, from those they have stated that they communicated with the lady, it gave them the impression that she is mentally ill" said journalist Bajraktaraj during an interview with Blendi Fevziu.
In the video, the other woman who is dressed in black is the little girl's mother. One of the police's questions is why they don't respond. After the woman took the baby, she went outside and then the three of them returned to the supermarket.
At first, there was no denning of it. The girl's father later reported the case to the police.
"The mother stated that she appeared with caressing words and left immediately and took the child and then returned. She said she looked like a person who had problems," the journalist said.
