Zamir Kalemi, who fell victim to an assassination attempt on Saturday evening near the Selita roundabout, was allegedly kept under surveillance by the perpetrators as soon as he left his apartment in the Kodra i Diellit area.

The 40-year-old left the house a few hours before the incident, and later moved with his vehicle towards the Astir area.

In this area was the last stop before he was injured. Asked by the investigators about the people he may have met in that area, Kalemi was very reserved.

Under these conditions, the investigators have focused attention on the footage of the security cameras along the entire route of the 40-year-old's movements.

Although until this stage no person or vehicle has been identified that monitored his movements, there are strong doubts that he has been under observation by the perpetrators for several hours.

For their identification, the police has made available a 15,000 Euro reward. Revenge is the main track that the police are investigating, although Zamir Kalemi himself has denied having any conflicts.

However, the police and the prosecution suspect that this attack is related to some serious criminal events that occurred during 2022 and 2023 in Albania and Greece.

This is because the 40-year-old turns out to be a relative of Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was killed with an explosive device on June 11, 2022 on the Tirana-Elbasan highway, as well as the brother of Andrea Kalemi, who was tried twice to execute him, reports Clan TV.
