August ended with a frightening balance of criminal events. 13 such were registered in the country, with 16 killed. The eighth month of 2022 marks a record for murders in recent years, and compared to 2017, crimes have tripled, reports Report Tv.

From 2017 to 2021, four, three, seven, six and four murders were recorded in August, respectively. So the August that we left behind holds the record of the last five years compared to any other month of the year.

All 16 victims were killed for weak motives and crime within the family. For this reason, the police found it easier to identify the perpetrators, but some of them have not been arrested.

The most serious was the death of Jonada Avdiaj, who was hit by former police officer Arian Tase with a raft, on the coast of Himara in the south. August ended with two double homicides, domestic crimes, in a 24-hour period.

The first in Lezhë, where the ex-son-in-law executed Pjeter and Gent Perjaku on the doorstep of the house, due to conflicts with the ex-wife, and a few hours later the husband and wife were killed in the premises of their agency in Tirana. Arsen Muskurti shot his brother Alban and sister-in-law Nora with five bullets, due to early conflicts over property.

The attacks returned in September. On the 2nd in Shkodër, Ismet Čekorja was executed at the entrance of the house. The perpetrator was masked and on a motorcycle, while investigations are focusing on the past of the victim and the boy. RENEA has been deployed in this city for three days, but there are still no results.
