In Kurqelaj t Klos, a deep northern village, where there are no opportunities for employment or education, a place from which Alfred Visha wanted to escape, when he left for Germany, but where unfortunately he lost his life working in black in a construction site.
The collapse of the scaffolding in a building under construction in Hamburg took the lives of 4 Albanians immediately. At first, Alfredi was injured... being in a coma gave hope to the family, but after 10 days of fighting for his life, he didn't make it either. This tragedy in emigration has destroyed his family that lives with sacrifices, in an almost ruined house in the middle of poverty in a village almost forgotten by the state.
"He used to work in the mine, he ran away from the mine because the mine is occupying him. Oh, what has he done to me! I knew that Germany was the field. My youth is gone. In black many workers, no insurance. He left and never came back," said Alfred's mother, Vjollca Visha.
The mortuary doors have been opened at the Visha family home, but without the body of the 34-year-old, mourning becomes more difficult. Alfred's mother, with tears in her eyes, finds the strength to address a public prayer to the officials for her son:
"I ask that they bring me the boy's body. It's been two weeks since the accident happened, he died four days ago... the body still hasn't arrived. I'm only looking for the child's body... I ran away for a better life, to ensure the children's lives, it was said that I brought them to be a good student", says his mother.
The 3 small children he left behind do not yet know about the loss of their father. Their mother, even at a young age, does not believe the loss of her husband. But the adults try to keep themselves and their biggest concern is for Alfred's two sons and daughter, who will live in even more difficulty than before, risking attending school.
"During the summer we planted wheat and we eat it during the winter. We have no other income. Far from education, I have three children who are learning a lot. I take them out of the house from 7 o'clock, at half past eight they reach school by walking. At least I will give you a car and take you to school", she says.
On social networks, relatives are trying to ease the pain of the family that needs economic support by opening a "gofundme".
"Let's help the children of Alfred so that apart from the pain of their father, they don't suffer from the pain of bread", this is a call for help.
