Hita meets the Dutch embassy: Cooperation with the Netherlands, concrete results

The Director General of the State Police, Skender Hita, welcomed the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Reinout Vos, and the Dutch Contact Officer attached to the State Police to the premises of the DPSSh and received from him the congratulatory letter sent by his counterpart, the Director of the Dutch Police.

The Director of the Dutch Police, Janny Knol, in her letter to Hita, states:

“I express my highest consideration for you and the Albanian State Police, and I wish you much success in your duty. Both the Dutch Police and the State Police share a high commitment to the fight against cross-border crimes. The relations between our countries are constantly strengthening and I am convinced that, under your leadership, the cooperation between Albania and the Netherlands will continue to prosper.”

Meanwhile, during the meeting, Hita thanked the ambassador for his presence at the DPRS premises, and conveyed through him the high mutual consideration for his counterpart, Knol.

Hita also stated that the cooperation of specialized structures of the State Police with law enforcement agencies in the Netherlands has yielded concrete results in the localization, capture and extradition of internationally wanted citizens, the creation and functioning of joint investigative teams, the real-time exchange of criminal intelligence, as well as in the tracking and seizure of criminal assets.

Further, Hita emphasized his and the State Police's absolute willingness to be fully open and committed to various aspects of cooperation that will be referred to in the future by the Contact Officer.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Vos congratulated the Director on assuming his duties and praised his vision for leading the State Police, guaranteeing the unwavering and continuous support of the law enforcement agencies of the Netherlands, for the fulfillment of common objectives, as well as for the further strengthening of security and the fight against cross-border crime, based on the mutual trust already gained.

Also in focus of the meeting were the presentation of the vision of the Director General of the State Police, Skender Hita, for a modern, reliable police force that is as close to citizens as possible, as well as the affirmation of the commitment to a solid partnership between the State Police structures and law enforcement agencies in the Netherlands, in the fight against international organized crime.
