Although the new judicial map has entered into force, the chairperson of the KLJ Naureda Llagami clarifies the citizens that all the cases that have started the trial in the appeal courts in the districts will continue the trial there. According to Llagami, there are 1,868 cases that continue to be tried in the districts.

"Every case that has started the trial in the former Court of Appeal will continue the trial. 1,868 ongoing cases. 27 thousand cases have joined Tirana, they are ready to be redrawed in the judicial body. According to calculations, each judge of this court will have about 1080 cases. So, each judge here has fewer cases than a judge has in the Court of First Instance of Tirana who has gone to 1500 cases. Which means that the work we will do here and the support we will have here will undoubtedly have a great impact on reducing the files and providing services to citizens. KLJ has taken measures for quality administrative staff. We have gone to the level where a judge has 5.5 administrative staff assisting. All judges are accommodated. The council is thinking about a new appeals court, we have the support of the government and the project will start. Whether we will have it here where we are, building a new dignified building, to have a body of 78 judges or we will have it in another place is not important to us. For us, it is important that we have a good service unit to offer the citizen quality service in real time", said Llagami.

Llagami emphasized that citizens will make their requests in the places where the Courts of Appeal have been and that there they will receive all the information related to their court case.

"What will happen to the citizens? There will be no obstacle. The only obstacle that the citizen will have is that he will not have the judge accessible. The citizen will receive the service where he has received it for all these years, that is, in the building of the previous Courts of Appeals, and there he will receive a service which will not only be related to information, to file all the documents that and all the requests needed for a trial in Appeal or a trial in the Supreme Court, but also for information about his file in the Court of Appeal. We will not have any restrictions on access to the court for the citizen. And the programming of the cases will make it possible for the citizen to have the opportunity to come to the Court of Tirana. Having a full body as the Court of General Appeal now is, which will allow the possibility to create two sections in this court, the civil section and the criminal section, obviously, the citizen will no longer have the failure of sessions as happened before. Will you get the best quality service? The more specialized the judges are, the better the service will be. The HCJ is taking measures to support this court. Today that we start the trials in the General Court of Appeal, no session will fail", said Llagami.
