The Llogara tunnel is officially opened
The most important infrastructural work in the south of the country, the Llogara tunnel, was officially opened for use today.
The tunnel was opened through an inauguration ceremony attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, ministers, deputies and local officials of the Vlorë region.
The tunnel has a length of 5.9 kilometers and will significantly shorten the travel time to the beautiful beaches of Southern Albania.
The entrance to the tunnel starts from Dukati, avoiding the curves of Llogara and exits in the village of Palase. The travel distance in this segment is estimated to be 7-10 minutes, from about 40 minutes that was covered by traveling through Llogara.
The Llogara tunnel, which was opened before the deadline, will be free this season, while next year it will be charged.
