A 26-year-old man who tried to break into a woman's apartment in Tirana has been caught by the police.

It was the owner of the house who found the young man in her house stealing her phone.

She immediately called the police, who arrived at the scene to arrest the perpetrator.

During the attempt to leave, the 26-year-old man jumped from the balcony of the apartment (as a result, he received body injuries), but he was unable to leave as he was caught red-handed by the police services, which immediately went to the place. of the event, after the call about this case.

He stole from the apartment of a citizen and tried to avoid the Police services that immediately went to the scene, the suspected perpetrator was arrested in the act.

The 26-year-old arrested, previously convicted for the criminal offense "Theft" and suspected of being the author of another theft.

The services of the Vlora Police Station, following the work for the prevention of thefts, clarifying those that happened before and bringing the perpetrators to criminal responsibility, after a phone call to the operating room of the DVP Vlora in an apartment in the neighborhood "1 Maji" , a citizen had entered to steal an apartment and was trying to leave after being spotted by the owner of the apartment, they immediately organized the work to catch him. Thanks to the timely intervention of the Police services, the citizen was arrested in the act:

-G. Ç., 26 years old, resident of "Partizani" neighborhood, Vlorë, previously convicted for the criminal offense of "Theft" more than once.

This citizen, during the morning hours of yesterday, allegedly entered the apartment of a citizen and after stealing a mobile phone, tried to leave after being spotted by her. During the attempt to leave, the 26-year-old man jumped from the balcony of the apartment (as a result, he received body injuries), but he was unable to leave as he was caught red-handed by the police services, which immediately went to the place. of the event, after the call about this case.

From the investigations and collected evidence, it is suspected that the citizen G. Ç. is the author of the theft of another mobile device, in the "1 Maji" neighborhood, on 02.08.2022.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
