Elderly man injured in Himara after being hit by grenade while working in olive grove

An elderly man was injured today in Himara while working on a piece of land when a hand grenade exploded.

According to the police report, the incident occurred in the "Livadhë" neighborhood of Himara, where the 85-year-old was working his olive grove.

The grenade was hidden in the roots of an olive tree.

The elderly man is currently in the hospital, out of danger.

The investigation team is working to fully clarify and document the incident.

"Today, in the "Livadhë" neighborhood, Himara, on a plot of land (olive grove), citizen KK, 85 years old, while working on his land, suffered injuries to his leg as a result of the explosion of a hand grenade, which was hidden in the roots of an olive tree. Citizen KK is currently in the Vlora Regional Hospital, out of danger to his life. The investigative group is carrying out investigative actions to fully clarify and document the incident ," the police announced.
