The story of the attempted explosion of an amount of more than 1 kg of tritol in the city of Elbasan 7 years ago, has been returned for trial by the Supreme Court .
The discovery of some details that forced the highest level of the judiciary to return it, were found together with the testimony of the targeted person.
According to the data of the High Court, it is known that if the suspect of that event managed to explode the amount of tritol that he had put in the car of an Elbasanliu, we would find ourselves in front of a massacre, where the losses of people would have been numerous.
Or at least this is the suspicion that came after receiving the testimony of the person who had put explosives in the car and where the vehicle was located inside the food market of the city, an area actually suspected of housing some of the most wanted names of the Police of the State.
The Supreme Court returned for retrial one of the most serious events in the city of Elbasan, which would have been closed as a massacre, in the event that a citizen would not have intervened, who accidentally removed a package of over 1 kilogram from a vehicle C4.
The suspect who was sentenced by the courts to 25 years in prison is Astrit Sinanaj, accused by the prosecution of being the person who installed a significant amount of explosives in a vehicle, such that if it had exploded, experts in the file say, it would have caused the killing of all to the people who were in that perimeter.
The 48-year-old was identified from the inspection of 13 security cameras in the city of Elbasan, after a quantity of 1022 grams of C4 was discovered in May 2017 in Fuat Verzivolli's vehicle.
The latter, during the trial, said that he had never clashed with the suspect, but that he was used as bait during the clash of gangs in Elbasan.
"I would go to watch the game at the food market and they wanted to harm them, not me. The goal was not to harm me, but to use me as a post.
I was not the target, I was the postman, since I was the only one who went there to the market, met Sokol Sanxhaktari, Suel Çela and some others", the target confesses.
But the Prosecutor's Office says that the expert reports show that the suspect made the phone call through which the explosion was remotely controlled, which did not happen, not because of him, but because a citizen had accidentally seen a package in the vehicle and had driven it away earlier.
But Astrit Sinanaj insists that he was not heard by the courts because he too had requested expertise with the claim that the person appearing on the security cameras is not him and that the phone did not belong to him.
The Supreme Court considers that for an impartial trial, a group of experts should examine the security footage and compare it with the suspect's identity.
Simultaneously with the argument of an impartial trial and the possibility of equality to be heard both for the prosecution and for its accused, the Supreme Court directs the retrial against Astri Sinanaj from the appeal, in the light of a real judicial debate to influence the discovery of the truth and delivering justice The suspect has insisted on his innocence for seven years because according to him he had no motive to kill the businessman.
