A horror event happened this Monday in Kruja, where a 42-year-old mother threw her newborn baby on the bank of the Tapiza river.

The sources of the journalist of Top Channel, Dorjana Bezat, say that after giving birth to the baby in the apartment and throwing it into the river, 42-year-old Leta Koçi went to the hospital to receive the necessary medical help and there she told about the incident.

After her confession, the police were informed about the serious case and went to the scene, where they found the baby's body in the garbage bag.

Meanwhile, the husband said in his testimony that he did not know that she was pregnant.

"The whole family says they didn't know she was pregnant, neither the woman nor the husband, she entered the toilet and gave birth, she didn't kill the child, she was born alive, but she may have died there or later, no it is still known", said a source from the investigative group that is dealing with the case.

It is not yet known the emotional and mental state of the woman living in Tapiza and whether she suffers from mental health problems.

According to the police, the 42-year-old woman has been detained by the police, while the investigation continues into what may have prompted the woman to commit the serious act, TCh reports.
