Serious details have come to light from the serious event in Tapiza i Kruja, where the 42-year-old mother threw her newborn baby into the river.

Top Channel journalist Dorjana Bezat's sources say that the family did not know that she was pregnant.

"The whole family says they didn't know she was pregnant, neither the woman nor the husband, she entered the toilet and gave birth, she didn't kill the child, she was born alive, but she may have died there or later, no it is still known", said a source from the investigative group that is dealing with the case.

According to the police, it is suspected that after giving birth to the baby in the premises of her apartment, the woman, claiming that she gave birth dead, put the baby's body in a bag and threw it into the river.

It is not yet known the emotional and mental state of the woman living in Tapiza and whether she suffers from mental health problems.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Krujë Police Station, under the guidance of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, arrested the 42-year-old citizen Leta Koçi, a resident of Tapizë, for the criminal offense of "Murder of a baby".

This citizen, today, around morning hours, it is suspected that after giving birth to the baby in the premises of her apartment, claiming that it was stillborn, she put it in a bag and then threw it on the bank of the river Tapestry.
