A 42-year-old woman was arrested by the police in Kruja, after allegedly killing the baby she gave birth to this morning.

The serious incident took place in the village of Tapizë in Krujë, where according to the police, the 42-year-old woman, after giving birth to the baby in her apartment, pretending that it was stillborn, put it in a bag and threw it into the river of the village.

Police Notification:

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Krujë Police Station, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, arrested the citizen LK, 42 years old, resident in Tapizë, for the criminal offense of "Murder of a baby".

This citizen, today, around morning hours, it is suspected that after giving birth to the baby in the premises of her apartment, claiming that it was stillborn, she put it in a bag and then threw it on the bank of the river Tapestry.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
