The Special Board of Appeal has upheld the decision of the KPK, for the dismissal of the Judge of Tirana, Kreshnik Omari, on July 6, 2021.

During the re-evaluation, the Independent Qualification Commission found large financial deficiencies in the justification of his and his parents' assets, while suspicions arose that part of the latter could be hidden assets in the subject's name.

The jury of the Special Appeal Board, composed of Rezarta Schuetz chairperson, Natasha Mulaj relator, Albana Shtylla, Ina Rama, Sokol Çomo members, announced the decision on the case (JR) no. 53/2021, dated 09.09.2021, which pertains to the appeal of the re-evaluation subject Kreshnik Omari against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission no. 412, dated 07.06.2021.

At the end of the trial in the consultation room, the panel, based on article 66, point 1, letter "a" of law no. 84/2016, "On the transitional re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", unanimously decided : It was announced today, in Tirana, on 05.10.2023.
