PHOTO/ RENEA's operation in Astir, police provide details: Only the girl

The police have provided details regarding the operation of the RENEA forces in Astir, where after a call from a girl who claimed that she had been raped by several people and locked herself inside an apartment, they intervened to provide assistance.

Police say the girl was found alone in the apartment and during searches of other apartments, two pistols were found in one apartment.

There were no people in the apartment where the weapons were found at the time of the search.

Also, the girl is under the assistance of medical staff and a preliminary examination of her body revealed no signs of violence.

Work continues to fully elucidate the incident.

Further to the information provided a little earlier, we inform you that:

At around 2:10 p.m., the door to the apartment was opened by the "Renea" Forces, there were no problems.

The SQ citizen is under the assistance of medical staff. Preliminary examination does not reveal any visible physical signs.

Also, during the conduct of urgent investigative actions and the search of other apartments in the building in question, 2 pistol firearms were found in another apartment. No people were found inside this apartment at the time of the search.

The investigative group is carrying out relevant actions in order to fully clarify the incident and identify the weapon's owner.
