The event took place in Volos, Greece. "33-year-old Erjon Pelivani had free access to the house. The rapes took place inside the house. At the time these events were happening, the girl's younger brother, who was 4 years old at the time, was also in the house. "Uncle" also had access from the parents, who were at work. He went when he saw those running away from home," Michalis Synodinos told SKAI.

According to what the girl allegedly told him, "she was sexually molested from the age of 9 and the rapes took place between the ages of 12 and 14. At the age of 14, growing up, the child probably told him that if he continued he would find out everything and he, when he needed money, blackmailed him through videos," he continued.

The 50-year-old father's lawyer also said the girl had told her sisters in general about the sexual harassment, but not the rape, and without naming the person.

The 24 hours that led to the crime
The Albanian father's lawyer, after explaining that his client "was emotionally disturbed", described what preceded the crime. As he said, "the father was notified on Monday morning to clarify what was being done with the rent money. After a conversation with his daughter, he was informed about the rape and blackmail, but the girl did not reveal her identity. According to the 50-year-old's lawyer, the girl had the videos in which the 33-year-old blackmailed her, but did not show them to her father. Mr. Synodinos concluded his description by saying that; "from Tuesday morning when that father found out until Tuesday afternoon we had no contact. After the incident he was in a tragic state, he told me what had happened and I advised him to inform the authorities and surrender".
