The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, during his report to the Assembly, raised the alarm about property falsification schemes in several cities in the country, describing the property issue as one of the most problematic in the country and demanding that abuses of state lands end once and for all.
Dumani emphasized that this topic is in the focus of SPAK and brought as an example the case of Lezha, where thousands of square meters of land obtained through forgeries have been returned to the state's ownership by court decision.
He added that investigations have uncovered similar cases in Durrës, where around 600,000 square meters of land acquired with forged documents have been seized, describing this as a "well-organized scheme of document forgery."
"The property issue is a very sensitive and very problematic issue. We have identified it in our investigations. It is in the focus of SPAK. I bring the case of Lezha. I do not know how many thousands of square meters of land were proven to have been obtained through forgery and these thousands of square meters of ours, it was decided by court decision to pass to the state. Another issue that should alarm us all, although it is in the preliminary investigation phase, the investigations have shown the massive forgery of thousands and thousands of square meters of land in a very popular area of Durrës and only in that criminal proceeding SPAK has managed to seize, of course, I cannot predict how the trial will go until the end, about 600 thousand square meters of land obtained only through forged documents. A well-organized scheme of forging documents" , said Dumani.
According to the head of SPAK, such cases have also been identified in Vlora and other cities, where the increase in property values has encouraged numerous abuses. He appealed for all state institutions to take their responsibilities to prevent abuses of public property.
"The same thing, we have investigated cases in Vlora and several other cities, where property, especially in recent years, has seen a significant increase in its value. It has the attention of SPAK. It is an alarm bell for all state institutions, not just SPAK. Because in SPAK we have criminal prosecution, but before that all institutions must follow their duty. The abuse of state property must end once and for all ," stressed Dumani.
