He came to Albania after 66 robberies in Italy, the "record-breaking" thief is arrested

A 30-year-old Albanian, accused of 66 robberies in the areas between Friuli and Veneto, has been arrested thanks to the cooperation of the Albanian authorities and the Italian police of the Pordenone region.

After committing 66 robberies, the young man had returned to Albania to continue his life in peace, but the Italian courts have sentenced him to 7 years and 7 months in prison during this time.

Despite the robber's attempt to hide, the Italians tracked him down and the young man was arrested in Albania, to be extradited to Italy, where the authorities sent him to Viterbo prison.

He is accused of having committed 66 thefts between Friuli, Venice, Giulia and Veneto from the end of 2018 to February 2019.

In November last year, the Cassation concluded the judicial process, confirming the sentence of the Court of Appeal of Trieste for the 30-year-old.
