The police of Fier have arrested the 33-year-old man wanted for taking a 24-year-old woman hostage and forcing her to practice prostitution.

Arbër Mehmeti was arrested. He is accused of "Illegal Deprivation of Liberty", "Exploitation of Prostitution" and "Maintaining Prostitution Premises".

From the investigations carried out by the Illegal Traffic Investigation Specialists of DVP Fier in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Fier, in the framework of the coded police operation "Imponimi", carried out three days ago, it was found that the 33-year-old, in cooperation with 3 already arrested citizens, have deprived a 24-year-old woman of her freedom, through threats and violence, and used her for prostitution, for a two-month period, in rented apartments and in various hotels in the city of Fier.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Fier Judicial District Court, for further actions.
