Other details have been revealed regarding the incident that occurred yesterday evening in the Vrina area, Konispol Municipality, where explosives were discovered placed in the vehicle of a 57-year-old man.

This is Mirash Gjikola, 57 years old, a person with a criminal record, previously sentenced to 8 years in prison for attempted murder.

Gjikola had long since moved from Lezha and was currently living in Shëndëlli, near Konispol.

The explosive was placed in his vehicle and was suspected to have been intended to explode, but the incident was prevented after the driver himself noticed it while driving and immediately notified the police.

Numerous police forces, serious crime experts, and RENEA's anti-explosives unit intervened at the scene, who deactivated the explosive material.

In connection with this incident, the police have announced a search for  Dede Gjini , who is suspected of being involved in the placement of the explosives. Investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the circumstances, the motive of the incident and the identification of other possible persons involved.

Authorities do not rule out the possibility of revenge or a previous conflict, considering the 57-year-old's criminal past, while security measures in the area remain heightened.
